Tullamore Dew Strikes Gold at ISC
Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey has won gold medals in one of the world's most prestigious spirits competitions, the International Spirits Challenge in London. The brand now has an impressive record of award wins and also struck gold at the World Spirits Competition in San Francisco earlier this year.
Tullamore Dew and Tullamore Dew 12 Year Old beat off stiff competition to win a gold medal each at the ISC. This brings the number of trophies and gold medals won by the brand to 19 in the past six years - including the prestigious International Spirits Challenge Trophy, one of only four awarded in a field of more than 700 entries.
The news of the awards comes at a particularly buoyant time for Tullamore Dew. Recent figures confirm volume growth of + 19% year on year, well ahead of the market, which is itself growing at the healthy rate of +6%. The brand is now the number one Irish whiskey in much of continental and northern Europe including Germany, Denmark, Bulgaria, Latvia and Lithuania and a close number two in several other markets of significance.
